Common Questions, Honest Answers

How are liquid herbs taken?

Each tailored blend comes with precise dosage instructions, typically ranging from 5-20ml per dose, once or twice daily, depending on your specific needs. A 500mL bottle provides a 4-5 week supply, ensuring lasting support.

For easy use, simply measure the prescribed amount with the included cup, dilute with water or juice, and consume in one go. As our herbal formulas are 100% natural, free from flavourings and additives, the taste may be strong, so following with additional water or juice can help.

To maintain potency, store your herbal remedy in the fridge and take it consistently each day for optimal results.

Why do you mix different herbs together?

We stock over 160 different types of liquid herbs and functional mushrooms in our range. Each has unique properties, and when mixed thoughtfully, they can enhance one another, leading to more synergistic effects and therapeutic outcomes.

Research supports the idea that specific herbal combinations can lead to enhanced bioavailability and potency, meaning that the body can absorb and utilise the beneficial compounds more efficiently. This approach not only maximises the therapeutic potential of each herb but also allows for a more balanced and well-rounded solution tailored to your individual needs.

Can you prepare a mix to treat other conditions?

Yes, but any specific, chronic, or complex health conditions, often require a deeper understanding of your overall health. For those cases, we recommend a thorough naturopathic consult, which will allow us to dive deeper and understand the root cause of the issues, so that we can provide more than just symptomatic relief, ensuring the most effective, targeted, and responsible treatment.

How quickly can I expect results?

Results vary depending on the symptoms being treated and individual health factors. However, liquid herbs tend to be fast-acting due to their high absorption rate, with most people noticing effects within 1-3 days. It is important to note, these blends are not designed to address the underlying issues, rather, to provide symptomatic relief.

For the best results, consideration should also be given to dietary and lifestyle practises. For example, the Sleep blend will be less effective if you are continuing to consume caffeine late in the day, having screen-time before bed, or have other underlying contributing factors.

What is herbal medicine?

Herbal medicine uses plant-based remedies to support the body’s natural healing processes. These herbs contain active compounds that have therapeutic properties, targeting specific ailments or promoting overall wellness.

Unlike synthetic pharmaceuticals, herbal medicine works in harmony with the body, rather than just masking symptoms. With thousands of years of use in traditional and indigenous practises, it’s a trusted, evidence-based alternative for many conditions.

Why do I need to fill out the questionnaire after I make a purchase?

Because our range of herbs are Practitioner-grade and very potent, the questionnaire helps us gather crucial health information, including any current medications and medical conditions, so we can prescribe you a herbal blend that is tailored to your specific needs. It ensures the blend is safe, effective, and free from contraindications.

Do your herbal extracts contain alcohol?

Yes, most of our liquid herbs are extracted using ethanol - a natural alcohol derived from plant-based sources such as sugar cane. Ethanol serves a crucial role in herbal extraction and preservation, benefiting the potency, purity, quality and absorption.

1. Efficient Extraction: Ethanol is highly effective at extracting a wide range of active plant constituents, including alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, and essential oils. This makes the tincture comprehensive in its therapeutic profile, as alcohol-soluble compounds often contain the most potent medicinal benefits.

2. Preservation: Ethanol naturally preserves the herbal extract, maintaining stability and preventing microbial growth. This ensures a long shelf life without the need for synthetic additives or preservatives.

3. Rapid Absorption: Alcohol-based extracts are readily absorbed in the digestive system, leading to faster onset of action compared to some other herbal delivery methods. This makes them an excellent choice for conditions requiring quicker relief.

Do you have alcohol-free herbal extracts?

Yes. We understand not everyone can or wishes to consume alcohol. For those who are pregnant, lactating, children, the elderly, those sensitive to alcohol, or those who abstain for religious or other health reasons, we offer glycetract (alcohol-free) variants. These extracts use vegetable glycerin as a solvent and are still potent and effective for therapeutic use.

If you prefer an alcohol-free formula, simply mention it in your post-purchase questionnaire, and we’ll be happy to accomodate your request.

Can children take liquid herbs?

Yes, children are typically prescribed our alcohol-free variants, and the doses are usually lower. Please indicate on your questionnaire if the herbs are intended for a child, and we’ll tailor the formulation appropriately.
